Question: How many mg of Prednisolone do I take a day to get a flare up of Ocular Rosacea to calm down, my eye lids and lower eye lids are swollen/puffy and my eyes won’t stop watering. I’m out at work on a ship for a couple of weeks and have some Prednisolone with me but not sure how much to take as only just found out that I have this condition. I also have been using a topical antibiotic eye drops called Chlorsig which seems to be helping with the burning/soreness and also I have been using Systane lubricant eye drops which are also helping but my eyes are still watering and the swelling/puffiness are still apparent.

Brief Answer:
Ideal dose is 1mg/ kg weight but not without doctors advice

Detailed Answer:
Hey thanks for the question . Ocular rosacea can cause irritation and dry eye in the eye and systane is a good drop for the same . But i wouldnt advice chlorsig instead of that some steroid eye drops like loteprednol for three weeks in tapering doses would be better . But we need to do a complete eye check up before doing anything. Hope it helps . Regards
