How Many Weeks After Possible Exposure Elisa Generation Test Is Conclusive For Negative Result?

Brief Answer:
Moreconfirmatory after 4weeks of highrisk activity
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to XXXXXXX
Thanks for posting your query.
Elisa 4th generation is a combo test picks up both antigen and antibodies against HIV and highly reliable.
P24 Antigen appears as early as 1 week itself, it becomes more conclusive after 4 weeks of possible infection.
Antibodies against HIV 1&2 will take 8-12 weeks to appear (window period).
But this test, if done after 3 weeks of high risk activity, it either confirms or rules out the infection with certainty.
