How Much Medication Is Necessary To Take Care Of Diarrhea And Gastric Trouble In An Infant?

Need nothing in breast fed babies
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If baby is only breastfed then its normal for baby to pass motion up to 8 to 14 times a day. They stretch a bit during motion just to ease the passing of motion as their gut is not well-developed. Their gut develops by 6m to 1 year.
Regarding color of stools, it varies from greenish to yellowish to orange-ish in color. Color may depend on mothers food also. Its best that mother takes hygienic, healthy and high calorie foods. She must also drink cleaner water.
No need to give babies water.
After baby has breast fed, its needed that we hold the baby upright in our lap for 5 to 15 min until he passes a burp or his food has gone down a bit.
Stretching of body in a baby can mean gas in stomach. To help with passing gas holding baby upright is good. Also lying him on his tummy is good. It must be done under adult supervision on a flat surface without blankets so that baby is able to breathe. Massaging the tummy in "ILU" massage with cooking oil or olive oil is also good. ILU massage is available on youtube.
I don't think any medicine is needed in a normal baby. If you really need to give him something then give him vitamin and iron supplements only. Among the medicines provided, flora-as, and sporlac are similar, they are probiotics and can be given occasionally. Maxizyme not needed. Carmizyme not needed and it has side effects. You may take it yourself to know the side effects. Coligyl occasionally. Xerol-D3 also one dose every 2 weeks for 1 month. Vitamin D3 (Xerol D3) can also accumulate in body and have side effects like constipation, muscle cramps, weakness, etc.
Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
