How Much Time These Sprays Can Be Taken Safely Since These Are Steroids?
Question: Hello doctor, i suffer from allergies such as from dust and dry air. I cannot escape the environment conditions so living in mask all the time is also not an solution, so i generally take Allegra 120 mg or sometimes montelukast/levocetirizine combination to control the symptoms. My major issue is the post nasal drip or mucus which is of usually thin and sticky remains struck throughout in my nasal passage. constantly irritating me to clear it up which also frequently leads to sore throat due to too much clearing.
I have contacted doctor in past before but i got mixed suggestions of using Nasal spray based on mometasone and Fluticasone so i am confused as to what is generally more effective for this condition and how much time these sprays can be taken safely since these are steroids? i have never used any spray other than a saline one.

Thanks for your response doctor, even if allergen is identified so what generally is the next step apart from avoidance offcourse? is it possible to make body immune to that?
Brief Answer:
If it is avoidable totally cure , yes immunotherapy is way to make immune
Detailed Answer:
If it is possible to eliminate or avoidable then total cure ! Otherwise immunotherapy is solution but these takes long duration i.e doc will give u that allergen and make u immune in standard lab conditions ,can take years also
