Posted on Fri, 23 Feb 2024
Question: I have sever chronic pain. 5 failed low back surgeries, fused L 2-5, and head is fused to my neck, in 2015,. Now I have a bulging disc at L1-2, and sciatica pain. I am taking 57 mg. Total CBD oil. I am still in a lot of pain. I can not take opioids. I have been in pain since 1991. my first fusion was in 1992, discectomy in 1993, fusion 2012 (March), then had fusion again in August 2012 because of 2 loose screws and a fractured vertebrae. I have a lot of pain in low back and in my neck and head.

Brief Answer:
Pain management procedures

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but since you cannot take opioids then I would recommend epidural steroid injections which help decrease the inflammatory process and nerve irritation thus reducing the pain.. also you should consider selective nerve root block which combines steroid and anasthetic agent to eliminate the painful sensation.. i hope you find this helpful..if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion..

Brief Answer:
Electrostimulation

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am, hello again. if these measures did not improve your condition then you should consider Electrostimulant therapy which passes minor electrical waves through your back in order to alter the perception of your body to the pain.. Also physical therapy might help.. I hope you find this helpful..
