How Often Do Relapses Of C. Difficile Disease Occur?
My question is since I tested negative, I now should not have to worry about getting c- diff in the case I take an antibiotic correct? since I am not a carrier i cannot get it. (unless I picked it up in the future from someone else) but assuming I don't, there is no risk for c- diff correct? you don't get it from taking antibiotics, they only activate it?
Can get it due to contaminated food or bad hygiene.

HI
Thanks for posting your query.
Even if you have been tested negative for C.difficle , there is always risk of getting it after taking another course of Antibiotic.
But one thing keep in mind , not everyone and every time one takes Antibiotic one gets C.difficle infection. You can get the infection by unhygienic practises like not washing hands after going to toilet and before having food , eating contaminated food . Antibiotic use increases the risk of getting it rather than themselves giving C.difficle infection.
So , if there is any indication for you to take antibiotic then go ahead and take , nothing to worry.
Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarification feel free to ask.
Regards.
Absolutely antibiotics won't pose risk unless you acquire it from outside.
