I have irregular heartbeat and COPD
Brief Answer:
Discuss with your doctor about taking Coreg
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the additional information.
Dulera inhaler contains two medications - Formoterol and mometasone.
Formoterol relaxes the smooth muscles of the airway.
Mometasone prevents the release of substances that cause inflammation.
Together these two medications helps to provide relief from breathing issues of COPD.
This is relatively very safe medication and may cause only side effects like stuffy nose, irritation of throat and hoarseness of voice.
Very rarely however they may cause worsening of symptoms in which case you need to report to the doctor immediately.
Coreg contains carvedilol.
This medication is used for normal functioning of heart and treat hypertension.
This medication should generally be avoided if there are COPD symptoms.
Though you are taking medications for COPD, you discuss with your doctor whether you can take Coreg since you are having COPD symptoms.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Dr.Barani
