Brief Answer:
Dont worry, relax and keep trying

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
It is pretty common for first time mothers to have this problem of perceived milk reduction.
I want to assure you that breastfeeding is the best for your baby.
1.Keep trying every two hours. Allow baby to such for 15 to 20 minutes. Even if milk doesn't come, the longer the bay sucks more will be the milk output.
2. Avoid bottle. This will cause nipple confusion. Milk flows easily from bottle whereas for breastmilk baby has to suck and put effort. Babies used to bottle comfort become lazy and don't suck well at breast.
3. Always try breast feeding for 20 minutes and then if you feel baby is still not satisfied give the formula you are giving by spoon.
4. Relax, listen to music, ensure room is dark during feed free from disturbances.
5. Babies tend to lose and then gain weight. Your baby will gain weight for sure.
Wishing your child good health and speedy recovery.
Regards
Dr Arun

Brief Answer:
Not harmful

Detailed Answer:
Dont worry.
Formula is not harmful.
Keep trying, breastfeeding will improve.
If not in 2 months, when you have to join work, formula can be given when you are not at home.
You can increase formula feed as per baby demand. 30 ml first month, 50 ml second month, 80 to 100 ml third month, but this is just a measure. Each baby is different, some take more or less but they regulate it by themselves.
Don't worry.
Regards
Dr Arun

Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:
Yes you can give like you mentioned.
Intake varies with demand.
No need to stick to fixed volume.
Feed till she starts losing interest or refuses.
But do not overfeed. Stop at her first signal of refusal, example turning her head away.
