How Safe Is Pull Out Method?
Question: About 5 weeks ago I had sex with a woman who claimed she was on birth control. I used the pull out method and I am certain that I avoided ejaculating in her. The next day she told me she was not on birth control but that she had started her period that day. She is a 38 year old woman who is a daily smoker. This week she notified me that she was late for her period. I asked her to take a pregnancy test and tell me the result but she refuses and only states that its not my problem. What are the odds that she got pregnant from me and what are the odds (if she is pregnant) that she will successfully carry a baby full term without adverse effects to the fetus?

I completely understand the 100% way to be sure the child is mine is through DNA testing. I am certain that at most a minimal amount of pre-ejaculation may have been released although I am fairly certain I was cautious. I guess I am attempting to reaffirm that if she started her period the next day that any pregnancy could not be the result of me. Again, any information you could share would lighten the burden and fear I am experiencing.
