How Should I Treat Worsening And Spreading Skin Rashes Apart From Fever And Sore Throat?
(Male, 19 years old)
It is extremely unlikely to be something related to HIV but needs work up
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This is very unlikely to be something related to HIV. Having unprotected sex only once does not means to have HIV. The chance is pretty low. This with the picture and a negative test after 6 months are sure that you don't have HIV and you don't need to worry for this at least.
But the rash needs evaluation. There can be so many possibilities, it looks like parapsoriasis (digitate dermatosis) which is a little complex skin problem but not for sure (as only diagnosed after biopsy) other possibilities are secondary syphilis or even more benign skin conditions like Pityriasis Rosea Rash.
Whatever this is, it needs to be assessed in more details by a dermatologist, so you better see a dermatologist; he may need to biopsy that to know exactly if in doubt. However, not to worry about HIV after the test is negative.
Hopes I have answered your question. I will be glad to answer any further question about this. please don't hesitate to ask anything in this regards.
