How Should Incomplete Bowel Movements Be Medically Addressed And Treated?
I use almost a whole roll of toilet paper cause part of it is just stuck and I have to kind of dig out the stuff I can get to.
Even after doing this I can still feel poop that are like stuck by my bottom but still inside that didn’t come out at all.
Yesterday my sister said I was smelling bad and I I guess it was due to this same thing. She was getting the funky smell.
Should I go by a doctor and let them examine my bottom or something ?
This has been happening a few weeks now and I dunno if it is hair that is causing it to stick up or if is something else?
Kindly see detailed answer.

Hello,
I can understand your concern. As per your history, I think you are suffering from chronic constipation. causes of that are Indigestion, heavy non-vegetarian diet, heavy processed food or fast food, low fiber diet, inadequate hydration, lack of exercise, anxiety, depression, hypothyroidism, Irritable bowel syndrome and side effects of some medications or rarely obstruction. Let me know whether do you have puffy face, weight gain, abdominal pain with bloating, blood in stool or are you taking any medications. Kindly follow up with detailed history.
You can take syp. lactulose 15 ml at night or use bisacodyl suppositories and can increase dose as per response. As these are prescription medication, kindly consult with your doctor. Along with that take light, high fiber diet. Keep yourself well hydrated. Do regular exercise daily at least 30 mins. Be stress free.
I'd suggest you to do thyroid function test and ultrasound abdomen and pelvis to rule out any other possibilities. If you are not able to pass gas and having abdominal pain with bloating, then rush to ER. I think this will clarify your concern. take care.

4 years ago I had depression and was on Prozac for around close to a year.
Btw I am getting poop to come out, it’s just there are others that remain.
I have no pain .
It may be due to multivitamins containing iron and calcium.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome back.
Thank you for reply. As you are taking multivitamins, so multivitamins containing iron and calcium can cause constipation. Kindly check multivitamin formulation that you are taking.
As you do not have any other symptoms, so you may require life style and diet modifications as I mentioned earlier. I think this will clarify your concern. Take care.
