Question: I have had low white blood counts for over 6 months. I have also had a cough on and off for 6 months. It got much worse this month with neck pain, headache and fatigue. My cough was a dry non productive cough. I started Doxycycline, steroids, and expectorants this past Monday. Finally able to blow yellow snot out of my nose, but still very congested with neck pain and headway.

Brief Answer:
Probably chronic bronchitis, follow the advice below

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to chronic bronchitis.
Low white blood cells are related to the imune system. If you have low white blood cells you might have frequent infections because body's protection is very low.
Do you smoke?
Smoking is one of the most important causes of chronic bronchitis.
So,If you smoke I suggest you quit for better results.
I see that you have already taken the right medications.
Some other suggestions that I may have are:
-for the headache you can take painkillers like ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day
-use saline nasal spray for local relief
-do an annual flu shot
-drink liquids
-take vitamin supplements to improve immunity system
-eat healthy and exercise regularly

Hope my answer was helpful.
