How Should Intermittent Numbness On One Side Of The Body Leading To The Inability To Swallow Or Move One's Tongue Be Treated While Having An Overactive Thyroid?
Question: My husband has an overactive thyroid once in awhile he'll go numb on one side and its the left.he sometimes can't speak or swallow or move his tongue without going numb and it usually last a minute or two. This time he could not get a word out but he did not have any numbness and it lasted 15 seconds he does not have any issues of breathing hes fine in this department. He is currently on thyroid medication tapazole 10 mg 3 times aday for 2 years but he takes it 1 time a day cause it makes him feel sick.
