How Should Pain In The Upper Rib Cage And Chest Be Diagnosed And Treated?
Question: My chest hurts after eating ice . I'm pretty sure I have an ulcer but this feels different. The pain is in my upper right rib cage . Make another chart the pain is near where the gallbladder should be. Is this gallstones?

Ulcer pain can be burning to boring pain. It can vary sometimes.
Ice can cause spasm and be spasmodic pain of the stomach or oesophagus. Obviously ice can cause changed pain character. In such case gall stone pain can mimic this.
I suggest to get investigations to understand the nature of the pain and its pattern. Sometimes only symptom description would not pinpoint a diagnosis.
You need EKG, Endoscopy and/or ultrasound.
