How Should Skin Darkening And Rashes Due To Chlorine Water From Swimming Be Treated And Prevented?
Question: Hello,
Recently I have started to notice that my skin is getting darkened since I have been swimming on a daily basis. And from past one week, there are small rashes on my hand that turns white after scratching. Can you please suggest on if there a way to avoid such a reaction of skin due to chlorinated water.

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you.
I am Dr kakkar (Dermatologist and Venereologist). I have noted your concern.
The darkening of skin is most likely tanning from sun. I suggest you to swim either early morning or late afternoon/evening. As far as the rashes on your skin are concerned, I request you to kindly upload a few good quality images of the affected area in "Reports Section" so that I am able to have a look and guide you better.

Remedy for rashes
Detailed Answer:
Thank you.
I suggest you to use a moisturizer, twice daily on affected skin. Over it after 30minutes I suggest you to apply a tacrolimus 0.1% ointment (TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT), twice daily on the white patches, twice daily. rub it in. It is a prescription medication. Yo also may take a tablet cetrizine 10mg in evening, if you have itching
