How To Avoid Falling Sick Through Food Contamination?

Question: I ordered Motrella Sticks to go two orders and there was a toothpick sticking in the to go container now the bartender stabbed himself by accident now I don't know if the food was Cominated by the wound or not any Suggestions I don't know if it was bleeding right away or not this is the bartender I'm referring to . I know you have to enjoy life but I'm hesitating by eating them I heard the expression when in doubt throw them out. I do not known what to do with this situation at hand

Hi XXXXXXX .. I understand your concern. Will give youa scientific explanation on how our system works and the possibilities.

1. Anything we eat including human blood is presented to stomach as food and the acid there tries to digest it.

2. But human blood need not free from contaminants or disease causing microbes. But most of the time these too will get digested.

3. But if there is a break in the mucosa of your mouth or esophagus or stomach.... Then that means your blood circulation is in direct contact with the so called impurities or microbes for a brief period of time before they get killed and digested by the gastric juices.

So frankly speaking a theoretical risk of getting sick exists.

Will quote another simple example - snake venom is a protein as such. So if a human consumes snake venom by mouth, unless he has bleeding oral ulcers or mucosal break in the gastrointestinal tract, the venom too will get digested like any other protein we ingest.

So now I leave the decision to eat the mozzarella cheese sticks or not to you.

But all the above what I said are theoretical... When it comes to practicality same probabilities don't work as such in theory.

I don't know ?? Sir All i know I think he was covering his hand up from the stab not sure though and I went to shake his hand I believe I have a scab from my finger not bleeding I don't think its bleeding the finger is caused from burning a ward from the skin doctor Should i worry about this contact episode that he may of touched with THAT HAND THANKS

I suggest you get yourself checked with HbsAg for hepatitis B.

Apart from thatyou can be rest assured.

If iI were you I would discard the cheese items.

listen I shook someone hand and I had chicken wings now my thumb got burnt from the oil like a really bad burning as soon as I felt I licked my thumb now that was the hand I shook hands with? hiv?

HbsAg whats this mean check out??? Ill throw it way rather be safe than sorry

thanks Im sayin I shook hands with numerous people while I was eating with that particular hand with I got some hot oil on the thumb that made contact while shaking hands Now By me licking the thumb Should I worry about diease hiv? Do you get what im saying thanks

the thing licking my thumb since it got contacted by shaking hands the reason why I licked my thumb is because It got burned by the hot oil from the chicken wings and soon as I did it I realized about the contact Should I freak out about this epsoide HIV????????????
