How To Avoid Prostate Problems?
No indication for estrogens
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Prostatic carcinoma is testosterone sensitive and is responsive to estrogen therapy.
However, there is no role of estrogens in a normal sized prostate.
A family history of prostatic carcinoma increases the risk of prostatic carcinoma in an individual ,however, you have not mentioned the specific prostatic problems in family.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a condition common in men above 45 years of age and family history is not significant in this condition.
However, estrogens do not have any role in any of these conditions.
Taking estrogens has side effects like thrombosis, hepatic adenomas etc.
Thus, there is no point taking estrogens without any indication.
Thanks and take care
