But she is not taking proper feeding, even for 4 hrs , she takes just 5 mins of feeding. Is there any problem with my milk? or any digestion problem. Please let me know. She gained Just 200gms in 3rd month.
Brief Answer:
get her examined.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks again.
The baby should breastfeed for atleast 20 min at a time. This is usually enough for adequate weight gain. Breast milk is the best. Latching should be adequate. Baby should not be going to sleep during feeds. If she sleeps, wake her up by gently tickling on her soles of feet or on forehead and face. Give her feeds every two hours.
Since she is not gaining adequate weight I suggest you to get her examined by pediatrician as she may need to be supplemented with formula milk.
Relax, there is nothing wrong with your milk.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
