How To Bring Down ALT Level And Maintain Liver Health?

What do I do next and can this be completely reversed or have I done any permanent damage?
I have started a very strict low-carb diet and have also eliminated alcohol for 6 months.
I put on a lot of weight in the last 4 years and I think that may have been the cause. I have also been binge drinking a lot.
You have fat and alcohol induced liver injury.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Thanks for writing to HCM
I have gone through your findings in detail.
Increased ALT indicates liver injury. Most probably it is due to fat and alcohol induced liver injury. This is indicated by fatty liver.Fatty liver causes deposition of fat within the liver cells and excessive fat causes liver cell damage.
It is important to know total bilirubin level,GGT level and Lipid profile.
You also need few more investigations like routine hemogram,RBS(Random blood sugar),Complete liver function test,Renal function test,Viral markers.Further investigations can be done if needed.
You can take tablet Ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily for three months. It will help in regeneration of liver cells.
Your problem is common among young adults due to changing life style and diet changes.
Fatty liver is a reversible state and it can be reversed by diet and life style changes.
You should avoid fried and fatty food.
You should avoid alcohol completely.
You should avoid red meat and high fat milk products.
Cook food in olive or canola oil.
You should take limited salt in your diet.
Take lot of fruits and vegetables. You should also increase your physical activity in the form of walking and exercise.
You should also try to reduce your weight.
Get well soon.
Hope I have answered your question.
Further queries are most welcome.

Thanks for coming back to me. The tests that I did also showed total bilirubin level,GGT level and Lipid profile I think - I have uploaded these to my report section - can you take a look and let me know what you think?
bear in mind that this was in September - I have since had my ALT tested (March) and it has fallen to 257.

Now,i can see your detail reports.
You are suffering from dyslipidemia with liver injury.ALT level is still high.
For dyslipidemia you can take combination tablet of Atorvastatin 10 mg and tablet Fenofibrate 160 mg single dose at night after dinner.
Uric acid is also increased. You should avoid purine rich diet.If increased uric acid level persists then he should take medicines for it.
Your reports will become normal with measures discussed earlier.
