How To Can Withdraw From Fludac And Telista Slowly Without Any Side Effects?

Question: sir/mam,
I'm taking fludac-40mg,fluvox-100mg,bupron xl 300 mg,telista-h 40mg and zapiz-1 mg daily for my OLD,hypertension and depression since last 2 years.I want to reduce my drugs dependency.How can I do this?

I had gone through your query. I understand your concern.

I think you misspelled OLD instead of OCD. Because higher doses of fluoxetine and fluoxamine are indicated in OCD. OCD is mostly co morbid with depression. I have also gone through your medicines details. Medicines are appropriate to psychological disorder like OCD and depression.

Can you reply back with detail history of illness with duration, no. of episodes, total duration of treatment and response of these medicines.

All these details are required for details assessment of treatment.

Yes sir OCD.When I was 17 years old i first time diagnosed of ocd and generalised anxiety disorder.since than i've been on fludac and zapiz.other drugs I started 3 years ago.Whenever I reduce my drugs I feel horribly sad and start uncontrolled thinking .Mainly suspicion on my wife although she is fully honest I know but when i reduce my dosages i start irrelevant thinking.But now i'm facing many other drug induced problems like loss of memory,loss in sex desires,confusion etc.I'm in new XXXXXXX well to do in my social life but nobody knows that i'm on psychoactive drugs not even my wife. I consulted two psychiatrist in XXXXXXX but due to busy routine I could not continued my visits with Dr. Please guide me .Can i ever live naturally?

Hi.

As you have mentioned that You have OCD since adolescence age and has chronic course.Medicines are main treatment to reduce it.It may require long term treatment with these drugs.

Fludac 40 mg and fluvox 100 mg are used in treatment of OCD. It is ideal dose for acute symptoms of OCD. If you have complete remission(absence of OCD symptoms since 1year) then it is possible to reduce given medicines.
OCD has average prognosis and require long term psychological treatment.

Fludac 20 mg and fluvox 50 mg can be used as maintenance treatment if you have remission.If you have partial remission as you told then need to take proper doses of these medicines till full remission.

Lack of sex drive and confusion are adverse drug reaction(ADR) of given treatment which can be minimized by changing dose of given medicines.

Bupron contains bupropion and its NDRI. It used as anti depressant.If you do not have depressive symptoms then dose can be reduced according to symptoms profile.

It can only possible after proper consultation and psychological assessment of your illness. So consultation is must for proper treatment.

My personal advise to consult and get best advise from your treating doctor regarding reduction in these medicines.

Thanks for your guidance sir.Can you suggest me any specialist in New XXXXXXX with whom I can consult and who is familiar with you.And if possible you refer me to him with your opinion?Because most of the time when I visit a psychiatrist I feel nervous and I couldn't explain him my problem.And if possible can you suggest me any psychologist also for my councelling.It will be so kind of you.
