Question: Hi there. My name is XXXX and I have 2 boys. 9 and 6. I am currently trying 2 get pregnant and wanted to know the best thing to do to conceive. I'm 30 years old so I'm trying to conceive asap. My partner has no kids and I was pregnant by him once last year unknowingly, but I had a miscarriage. Should I just follow my ovulation days, would that be the best method.

Brief Answer: TRY NATURALLY DURING OVULATION DAY FOR 6 MONTHS. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for writing to us. For successful conception, both of you need to follow these suggestions: 1) First, you need regular cycle with proper ovulation. If your period is regular, then you can try to conceive naturally for continuous 6 months. Otherwise, you can take progesterone pill (D16 to D25) to regularize your monthly cycle. 2) You have to do regular unprotected sex close to your ovulation day (14 days prior to actual due date) or (11th to 19th days of each regular 28 to 30 days cycle) to maximize the chance of pregnancy. You can use OVULATION KIT or LH KIT to track down your ovulation days. 3) Both of you must take a healthy balanced diet with more fresh fruits and vegetables. Low carbohydrate diet is preferable. Take vitamin-E and folic acid supplements for 3 months in preconception period and there after. 4) Do light to moderate exercise for physical fitness and to reduce or control body weight. Avoid mental stress completely by regular meditation or yoga. Maintain a healthy life style. If you fail to conceive within 6 months, then you must consult with your INFERTILITY SPECIALIST and proceed some investigations like Husband semen analysis, pelvic ultrasound scan with monitoring of ovulation (follicular study), hormone tests (LH/ FSH, AMH, TSH, Prolactin, DHEAS etc). Proper treatment can be made only after ruling out the underlying cause and confirm diagnosis. Hope, above information is quite helpful to you.
