Brief Answer:
I agree - not ovulating
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the question.
Any time you are not cycling regularly, it is most likely because you are not ovulating regularly. Counting the first day of your period as day 1, most women ovulate on day 14 and get a period two weeks later.
Have they talked about causes?
What is your height and weight?

Brief Answer:
Not thyroid disease
Detailed Answer:
In women who are not ovulating, the common causes include:
1. Thyroid disease (not you)
2. Elevated prolactin levels (not you)
3. Diabetes or a condition called PCOS (not tested)
4. Being severely underweight (not you)
5. Premature ovarian failure (not tested)
So there are things that have been appropriately ruled out, and there are things that have not been tested for. This workup should be completed. If there is no explanation, then talk to your doctor about fertility medications to induce ovulation. These include clomid or letrozole.
Finally, your age is not really a factor in case you were wondering.
Please let me know if you have more questions

Brief Answer:
See below
Detailed Answer:
Counting the first day of your period as day1
Clomid, for example, is taken on days5-9 (five days in a row)
Intercourse is timed on about cycle days 10-16
You need to consult an OB/GYN first and they will describe how and when to take this medication. There is nothing to do to prepare for this.
