Brief Answer:
Need clarifications...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Human body organs especially the lungs and kidney when functioning normally is able to balance / control acidic factors; thereby keeping body pH at a constant. Acid - balance gets disturbed when either of these get affected. Therefore keeping lung and kidney's healthy is the key to control acidity. That being said, I am not sure if your interest is to know about acid base balance. If you meant something else, please elaborate in the follow up. And if you indeed want to know about body acid-base balance let me know.

Hi
Thanks for answering. I would like to know whether spices in the food as well as soft drinks effect Acid Base balance. Now a days eating in the hotels is becoming unavoidable and getting optimally prepared South XXXXXXX meals is becoming difficult in South XXXXXXX itself. In this context, I would like to know more about acid base control in the human body.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Acid base disturbance only with lung or kidney pathology...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Acid base balance is primarily established by breathing out carbondioxide and bicarbonate excreted through kidney. Optimal kidney excretion and optimal breathing is what keeps acid base balance established. Sometimes spicy food or outside food leads to excessive vomiting. Acid base balance can also be disturbed due to excessive vomiting and dehydration. Therefore if you have a healthy lung and kidney unless and until you are vomiting severely from the food you eat; acidity levels will remain balanced.
However spicy food and outside food are known to cause gastritis where gastric pH levels are acidic and cause gastrointestinal symptoms.
Hope this answered your question. Let me know if you need clarifications.
