How To Control Cholesterol Level ?
Question: Hi, I have had loose stools for a few years, not diarrhoea. Also have hemorrhoids. I go regularly once a day and no other symptoms. It will be say 4 days of the week and the other are ok formed stools. Is this anything serious? Just has me worried about cancer. I done 2 FOB tests over couple weeks and 1 was positive out of 6. Hemorrhoids were bleeding during positive test. My anxiety makes me think it’s something to worry about. Is it related or nothing to worry about? 42 male, blood tests all normal, not other symptoms. Could it be a form or IBS? Or just diet?

Hi,
Thanks for the additional information.
It looks like your symptoms are due to irritable bowel syndrome.
It is unlikely to be due to cancer.
A low FODMAP diet will provide relief from your symptoms.
You can also get tested for celiac disease.

Thanks, I struggle with anxiety and always thinks the worst. Most likely just my hemorrhoids was the 1 out of 6 positive tests? If not you think nothing serious?
Also can I have ibs with no other symptoms than loose stools. And if I go once a day regularly. No pain or any other symptoms. I never have any trouble after eating anything. Just my morning bowl movement is most of the time loose. Occasionally will be formed. It’s a normal brown colour as well. Lighter brown at times

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Yes, it is the hemorrhoids that caused the positive results.
There should be abdominal pain at least once a week in the last 3 months to diagnose IBS.
If there is no pain, it is called functional diarrhea.
