How To Delay Periods?

I wanted to delay my periods by 10 days as i am getting married soon(my cycle is around 24 days). I have consulted a gynae and she suggested that i should start taking femilon pills from 29th XXXXXXX (the second day of the periods in january) and continue till end feb to delay periods. This way i will be consuming one and a half pack to delay the periods by 10 days. Just wanted to understand is it necessary to start so soon or can i start by mid of feb so as to delay my periods which are next due on 22nd Feb.
You can take norethisterone pill.

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
I suggest you to take Norethisterone pill (like PRIMOLUT-N) to delay or postpone your period. It should be taken twice daily 3 days prior to period due date and continued as long as you want to delay (max 2 weeks).
You will get a withdrawal bleeding like period within 5- 7 days after stopping them. Kindly, procure complete prescription from your local doctor.
Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.
Wish your good health and take care yourself.

Norethisterone pill is quite effective to delay period.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up query.
If your period cycle varies from 22 to 26 days, then you should start taking the pill from 17th Feb onwards (according to period due date). It is quite effective.
Norethisterone pill is well tolerated and side effects are very minimal. Don't be worried about that. Most women use this pill to delay their period.
Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion.
All the best and good luck.
