How To Determine Ovulation Days?

default
Posted on Fri, 6 Nov 2015
Question: Hi!
so I had my menstration cycle recently on 8th October, and finished it on the 14th. I normally count the 7th day as my safe day and also my last day of my period. I find it rather awkward that I feel as though I'm ovulating today. isn't it too soon to feel it?

and does this have anything to do with it....my boyfriend and I were intimate on the 15th and 16th. does what I'm feeling have anything to do with those two days?

please help.

Brief Answer:
you are possibly ovulating today

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
Considering that you had your last menstrual period on 8th october, then considering that you have a regular 28-30 day cycle, there is a possibility that you may be ovulating today being day 13 of the cycle.
You were in your safe period on 15th and 16th and hence sexual intimacy with your partner in that period should naturally keep you safe from pregnancy.
However to confirm ovulation , you may check it with an ovulation kit which confirms the LH surge and within next 36 hrs ovulation occurs.
You may feel slightly nauseous, with mild abdominal cramps in the ovarian area and often mild spotting is also noticed called the ovulation bleed during ovulation, but the confirmation can be done either by an ovulation kit or with a transvaginal ultrasound which can show a ruptured follicle in the ovary confirming ovulation.
