Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
You had sex with your partner on 18th and with your boy friend on 24th.
Since you were 4 weeks six days pregnant on 13-01-2015, and 8weeks 1 day on 05-02-2015 you must have ovulated on 23 rd or 24th. Please note the physiology here. Sperms can remain live in female body for up to 6-7 days. The ovum remains live for one day only. There is a small possibility of you having received sperms from your partner on 18th. These could have remained alive and fertized the egg on 23/24th December. And there is a definite possibility of the ovum being fertized by sperms received from your boyfriend on 24th. So it is difficult to predict who the father may be.
You will get answer to your question by DNA testing. You can do this paternity test while you are pregnant also. There are three types of tests available.
1. Non invasive prenatal paternity test-- a small amount of baby's DNA is found in mothers blood naturally. This test can be done by collecting your blood and your boy friend's/partner's blood and matching. This is the recommended test as it does not carry any risk to the baby.
2. Amniocentesis to collect baby's DNA and matching it--This procedure is invasive and is associated with risk of miscarriage. It is performed during 14-20 weeks of pregnancy.
3 Chorion villous sampling to collect baby's DNA and matching it--This procedure is invasive and is associated with risk of miscarriage. It is performed during 10-13th weeks of pregnancy. You are already in your 13th week of pregnancy.
Or you can do the DNA test after delivery using baby's blood or baby's cheek swab.
I hope I have answered your queries. If you have any further concerns please write to us. I will be happy to answer.
