Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Offer small, frequent meals and snacks. Children with low appetites may be more likely to eat small amounts throughout the day than to eat three large meals. Aim for 5-6 meals and snacks per day.

Choose high-calorie, nutrient-rich foods.** This means focusing on foods that are high in calories, protein, and healthy fats. Some good examples include:
* Full-fat dairy products, such as milk, cheese, and yogurt
* Nuts and seeds
* Avocados
* Healthy oils, such as olive oil and avocado oil
* Starchy carbohydrates, such as potatoes, rice, and bread

Make foods more appealing.** If your son is picky about what he eats, try to make his food more visually appealing. You can do this by cutting his food into fun shapes, using colorful plates and utensils, and making creative presentations.

Add healthy calories to his favorite foods.** There are a few simple ways to add healthy calories to your son's favorite foods. For example, you can add avocado slices to his sandwiches or toast, top his yogurt with nuts and seeds, or mix peanut butter into his oatmeal.

Make mealtimes fun and relaxing.** Avoid pressuring your son to eat if he's not hungry. Instead, try to make mealtimes a fun and relaxing experience. You can do this by eating together as a family, talking about your day, and playing games.

Here are some additional tips that may be helpful:
* Offer high-calorie drinks.** Smoothies and milkshakes are a great way to add extra calories and nutrients to your son's diet. You can make smoothies with fruits, vegetables, yogurt, and nut butter. Milkshakes can be made with whole milk, ice cream, and fruit.
* Let him help prepare meals.** Get your son involved in preparing meals and snacks. This can help him get more excited about eating and trying new foods.
* Don't force him to eat.** If your son is not hungry, don't force him to eat. This can make him more likely to avoid eating altogether.
* Be patient.** It may take some time for your son to start gaining weight. Be patient and consistent with your efforts, and eventually he will reach a healthy weight.

I hope your query is clear now. Thank you.
