Thanks for the query.

There is no clear cut answer to your question.If we go by pure science, you are shortsighted and longsighted because of the difference in size of your eyeball.The size of the eyeball is a factor which is genetically determined.

But there is evidence that there may be other factors which determine the size of your eyeball.Factors which involve too much near activity (reading, computer monitor viewing, video games, mobile phones, tablets etc....) affect the eyes in an adverse way.It is not possible to avoid these activities altogether but one may try to limit the time spent on such activities.

Practice the 20-20-20 rule during the day. Every 20 minutes look at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This way you alter the focus of your eyes and keep your eye muscles more flexible.

Apart form these there are many natural methods(including eye exercises) which are described on the internet but none of them is scientifically proven to improve eyesight.
