How To Lose Body Weight?
Losing weight
Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Noted your concerns. I must agree with some of your doctors that, as one get older, the metabolism slows down. We do have to boost metabolism and lower the calorie intake.
I agree that it is not easy to lose weight, once you are obese. CAlorie restriction is the only way. Since you are obese, and to attain negative calorie balance, you need to maintain on an 800 calorie diet. TAke very minmal carbohydrate for dinner.
Use proteins and lean meat. Since you dont have hypothyroidism, we have to look at other causes like Cortisol excess as one other cause of weight gain. I am sure that your endocrinologist would have looked at that part.
Exercise minimum of 45 minutes to one hour daily.
With constant weight watching and calorie restriction, you can acheive the target weight.
As an endocrinologist people always complain to me about inability to lose weight. Many a times y find them dieting on the week days, but partying on weekends. Avoid weekend parties and binge eating as much as possible. ( this is one thing i have noticed. People do crash dieting on week days and do binge eating on weekends). Alcohol is rich in calories. On an average, on a week end dinner, one takes around 800 to 900 calorie food. This is something we have to avoid.
You may also need to meet a nutritionist to customise your meals.
