How To Manage Temper Tantrums Of An Infant?
My 13 month old baby has been throwing fits of tantrum off late. She visibly gets angry and shouts at the top of her voice, sometimes making fists too. Sometimes this leads to crying. Whenever we do not give in to her demands, she throws these tantrums. Sometimes, out of nowhere also, this happens.
I was a stay at home mother till her 1st birthday. Post which I have started working again an am away for 8-9 hours from her, during which time she stays at home only with her grandparents and maid. We have noticed that ever since I joined back office, her behavior has changed.
Can this be behavioral or something physical like teething ache/or worming problems? I am not sure how soon should we start deworming for her. She has been having solids since 6 months.
Please help.
Seems to be more of behavioural issues
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
thanks for using health care magic
I can understand your concern
in my opinion this seems more of a behaviour issue.
children of this age have separation anxiety.
I would suggest that you give her lot of attention when you are at home. give her attention when she is behaving well.
When she throws tantrums ignore her behaviour.
do not give in to her demands when she throws tantrum.
gradually she will understand that throwing tantrums will not gain her any attention, neither negative nor positive.
I hope I have helped you
