Brief Answer:
The best way is to quit

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

For minimising the smoking related harms the only effective and useful way is to stop smoking. The research have clearly shown that even after 20 years of smoking people get reversal of function to near normal. They say that quitting smoking is the best medicine for treatment of damage done by smoking.

We need tho understand that the body always tries to defend itself and when the smoking is stopped the repairing mechanisms take over the destructive mechanisms leading to reversal of loss caused by years of smoking.

I hope this answers you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
This is appropriate weight

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for reverting back to me.

For a five feet 6 inch person the normal weight is 50-65 kg and your weight falls absolutely in the normal range.

I do not think you need to attempt increasing weight as after stopping smoking you will see body weight increase which will be more than sufficient.

In other words stopping smoking is the only thing to help you in increasing your body weight.

I hope this helps you further.
