How To Recognise Implantation Bleeding?

Question: Hello! I ovulated on the 6 and 7 this month. On the 18 i had a bright red medium flow, then a light flow half the day on the 19. Today, on the 20 i was due for my period as it is CD 28 and 14 days after ovulation and i have had no bleeding until tonight. I have extremely dark, thick and creamy spotting. Just enough for a panty liner. I checked my cervical position and it is high, soft and closed. My husband and I are trying to conceive and i was wondering if i could be pregnant? I took a test this afternoon and it was negative.
Brief Answer:
Repeat pregnancy test after a week
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about possibility of pregnancy.
The bleeding you experienced is likelyt o be your periods. Sometimes it is normal to have such bleeding patterns of flow.
Sometimes implantation bleeding of pregnancy also appears like this and is difficult to differentiate.
I suggest you repeat pregnancy test after another week. If it's still negative you can safely consider this as your regular periods.
