How To Rule Out Gonorrhea?
My sleep patterns are broken and I believe I recently may have had gonnerhia, though no longer symptomatic.
Would this have anything to do with it?
shift workers suffer from sleep problems initially
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
Many of the shift workers face sleep problems initially when they are adjusting to their job due to disturbance in circadian rhythm (biological clock of the body). Except few of them can adjust to shift timings in a month or two. However few need medical intervention.
Gonorrhea if asymptomatic is not related with sleep problems at all.
Secondary to inadequate refreshing sleep person can feel low as sleep is an essential function of body.
Let me know your shift hours of before and currently.
How much amount of sleep are you getting currently and how much reduction is there from before?
I will be happy to help further after your response.
I currently work from 4pm until 3am.
Get home about 4am sleep until 10.30am
you need to adjust the schedule
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Sorry for delayed response.
You forgot to mention previous hours and timing of sleep and since when shift change is there.
You are getting almost 6 hours sleep. For an adult daily requirement of sleep is 6-8 hours. Your timing is changed but duration of sleep remains the same I guess. Due to change in timing you are feeling down. You will be soon able to adjust the new schedule. Generally it may take time of 3-6 weeks. Even after that if your discomfort continues or shift is changing you need counseling for sleep schedule and may need medicines to adjust sleep.
Take care.
