Brief Answer:
Abortion pills should be taken under supervision.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us.

Abortion pills should always be taken under proper guidance because it may sometimes cause severe bleeding, infection and retained product of conception.

Before taking abortion pills exact week and site of pregnancy should be confirm by pelvic ultrasound.
Abortion pills are effective for pregnancy up to 49 days.
If ectopic pregnancy( extra uterine ) is there than I- pill should not be taken.

The exact dose of abortion pills are as follows-
1st day- Mifepristone one tablet in the morning( say 8am) orally
2nd day- no tablet
3rd day- Mesoprostol 200 mg one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening vaginally( 8am/8pm)
4th Day- Mesoprostol one bd( same as on day 3).
Bleeding starts after the first dose of mesoprostol.

In your case you have not taken pills on time and dose is also inappropriate.
So please go and consult a gynecologist as the chances of retained product of conception are there in your case.

Hope I have answered your query if you have further questions I will be happy to help you.
Feel free to discuss more.

Good luck.

Dr. Richa

Brief Answer:
She can take two tablet vaginally.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Nice to listen from you.

In my opinion she can take two tablet( 400microgram) of mesoprostol vaginally.
Because she already had two tablet of mesoprostol.
Only recommanded dose is 800microgram of mesoprostol along with one tablet of mifepristone.

It is not safe to take more tablet because chances of bleeding and rupture of uterus may increase.

Hope this information is useful to you.
