1. First be sure of age of pregnancy. This is calculated from the first day of the last period.
2. Medical abortion is not very successful after 56 days of pregnancy, when calculated as above. It's best done, in fact, before 49 days of pregnancy. if these limits are not respected then there can be almost fatal bleeding.
If pregnancy is older than this it may be wiser to have a surgical abortion.
3. Be sure that the pregnancy is in the uterus and not the tubes or elsewhere. For this your doctor will get an ultrasound done. this will also confirm the age of pregnancy.
4. Before any abortion, medical or surgical, you should know your blood group. in case it is -ve (negative), your osttner's blood group shoud also be known. If he is +ve (positive), then you will need the Anti-D injection.
So, please, don't play around with these drugs just by yourself. Seek a doctor's advice and have your abortion under your doctor's supervision.
