How To Travel With An Infant?
What is the right time when we can plan a 1 week outing with our baby considering we have all the necessary care items out there.
Travel suggetions for a 3 month old
Detailed Answer:
Hi...There are no hard and fast rules for traveling with a 3 month baby, and many families are comfortable hitting the road shortly after their baby is born. But for most, it makes more sense to stay close to home, where the baby's regular paediatrician will also be available.
Early infancy is a time of transition for a new baby and her family. Establishing feeding and sleep patterns is challenging even when you're not in transit, and both mother and baby need a lot of rest – which may be hard to come by while traveling.
Exposing an infant to large crowds and public places, where there are many disease-causing germs, makes it more likely that the baby might catch something....like a viral illness or the climatic conditions may not be appropriate for the baby to get accustomed to. You'll also need to protect the baby from temperature extremes and make sure she's able to feed as often as she needs to.
As such I always advise my patient's parents to travel only after 6 months of age.
