How To Treat A Detached Nail After Injury?

Question: Hello my name is XXXXXXX about a month a go I stubbed my big toe very hard.A few weeks later my nail was about 60% cracked and starting to lift, after about 2-3 weeks the nail is about 3/4 off it hurts slightly. I am wearing a gel cushion toe bandage. Should I go to the doctor,and what should I do ?

You should see your Doctor who can remove the damaged part of the nail and apply soft non adhesive bandage. The pain will go away then. There is no point keeping a broken nail. It will grow back again in a few months. There is no need to worry about it and the procedure would not be very painful.
