How To Treat Cut On The Scalp?
Question: My 3 year old daughter had cut her back side of head. I had gone to local hospital, they gave one stitch and bandage .
the following medicine given to her
Plus Gesic -Acelofenac (50 mg)Paracetamol (125 mg) 10 ml 2 times.
Monocef - O CV (cefpodoxime Proxetil 50 mg , potassium clavulanate 31.25 mg) 5 ml 2 times.
weight _ 12.5 1kg.
Now please guide is the above medication is ok for her.

The prescribed medication and it's dose is appropriate for her.
Antibiotic is to be given to prevent secondary infection at the injury site. Aceclofenac and paracetamol combination will take care of pain.
I won't get worried if there is no sign of brain injury like loss of consciousness, vomiting, altered sensorium or any abnormal body movement.
Suggest you to continue the same and observe for any abnormal symptoms.
In most of the cases there is complete recovery within 7-10 days.
If you notice any abnormal symptoms of if child developes fever consult your pediatrician immediately.
You can give normal diet and fluid to the baby.
