Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for your query.
I'm Dr. Shuba Hariprasad & will be answering your query today.

Would you please clarify a few things for me?
*how long have you had these symptoms? It is not clear in your query.
*where all do you have it? Where did it start from? *is the rash on side of the body ( left/right)
*how does the rash look? Blisters or pimples? Any fluid inside or when you itch? (not very clear in the photo)
*have you had chicken pox?
*have you recently been to an area with plantation or marshes?
*have you checked for any bite marks or scabs?

Based on your query and from what I can see I would like to rule out shingles/chicken pox caused by a virus.
This will require antiviral medication.
I recommend :
- a dermatologist consult
- microscopic examination of the skin/fluid from the rash.
-blood tests (complete blood count).

Based on these we can have a diagnosis and administer appropriate treatment.
Please avoid itching and touching the rash.

Use ice packs or cool compresses with clean washcloth to relieve itching.
Avoid the sun, spicy foods, hot beverages to reduce itching.
Wear breathable fabric clothes like cotton.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health.

Regards,
Dr. Shuba Hariprasad

Brief Answer:
Please see a dermatologist to check for chicken pox/Molluscum contagiosum

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for the follow up.
Yes it does seem like chicken pox. However, the rash for this doesn't last 4 weeks. Please get it checked by a dermatologist right away, especially of it is spreading or Increasing.
Molluscum contagious is another possible cause.
The rash need to be examined closely to determine the cause.

Hope I've been of help. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health.
