The best way is to ensure that there is a tapering down to avoid withdrawal effects. To be able to guide well, I suggest you report how much you are taking and for how long you have been taking it.

Hi,

Tapering is the way to go. I will recommend the following plan:

Week1: 5mg of oxycodone daily
Week 2: 2.5mg daily
Week 3: 2.5mg every other day
Week 4: 2.5mg every 3/4days
Week 5: Stop completely.
