Brief Answer:
take 15-20 % every week

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

Effexor is a SNRI group of antidepressant which is associated with withdrawal side effects.
Due to this reason it should be taken slowly taking five to six weeks to withdraw. I am giving you an example of how I typically do the withdrawal in my patients

Suppose you are taking 150 mg of Effexor follow as below.

First week 120 mg. Can be taken in form of one 75 mg one 37.5 mg and one fourth of 37.5 mg. Reduce the morning part of dose if you are taking in twice a day.

Second week- 100 mg. Take 75 mg and half tablet of 37.5 mg.

Third week - 75 mg take one tablet.

Fourth week - one and half tablet of 37.5 mg

Fifth week one tablet of 37.5 mg

Sixth week - Half tablet of 37.5 mg

Seveth week - stop

By following this pattern there will be minimal possibility of withdrawal side effects and at the same time you will have time to respond to relapse if it occurs due to withdrawal of Effexor.

Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
