I Accidentally Brushed My Teeth With Cortisone 10 - Had
![default](/r/images/default.png)
If it was just cortisone (steroid cream), then it is fine.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Ask A Doctor Service.
If the cream was steroid (cortisone), then there is nothing for you to be worried about as you rinsed your mouth as soon as you realised the mistake.
The topical creams contain certain substances that make it easier to apply on the skin and they can cause some mild irritation in the stomach if swallowed.
Apart from that I do not think there is much harm by brushing your teeth with it.
However, if you are already suffering from oral thrush, steroid cream can make it worse.
But one single accidental application will not be harmful at all.
So, do not worry, nothing is likely to happen.
Hope this answers your query, you are most welcome to write to me if you have any more doubts.
Best wishes,.
