Brief Answer:
Please provide some more information

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Thank you for using "Ask a doctor" service.

I guess you mean Humira right?

Can you give me some information on why do you use this injection?
Was this the first time you took it?

Were the pins and needles only while the medicine was injured or continued also after? For how long? Where were the pins and needles localized?
Did you have any other symptoms?
When did this happen?- I just want to rule out if it is an allergic reaction or just a side effect.

Looking forward to your follow-up question.

Kind regards,
Dr. Klarida Papaqako,
General and Family physician

Brief Answer:
Maybe the needle contacted with a nerve during the injection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for the follow up question.

If you got those pins and needles only during the injection, but no symptoms after, that can happen because the injection needle hit a nerve. That is why in that case you stop, pull the needle a bit backwards and continue the injection.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Doesn't look swollen.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

I saw the photo you uploaded. It doesn't look swollen.
But I am not sure if the answer is accurate because I need more information about it.
- Does it hurt when you move it?
- Is it difficult to move it?

It is not common to hurt your joints from cracking.

Looking forward to your follow up question.

Kind regards,
Dr. Papaqako

Brief Answer:
Possible mild arthritis in the joint

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I guess you mean it is itchy in the joint, not in the skin around the joint.
If it is itchy in the joint, that means that you are cracking too much and that may cause gradually a kind of arthritis in the joint, a small damage that with the time can get bigger. It is like a joint is being overused.

For the rest, I don't think it is swollen.

Let me know if you have other questions or concerns.

Kind regards,
Dr. Papaqako

Brief Answer:
Can start like that

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Yes, can start like that. But of course pain and swollen joint are the main symptoms. And of course we are talking about itchy sensation in the joint, not in the skin. If you have it in the skin, then it is completely something else.

Kind regards,
Dr. Papaqako

Brief Answer:
The swelling and pain may start later

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Because as I said it is just the beginning of a slight damage. Then goed on with swlling, pain, redness, heat, so all the signs of inflammation.
Otherwise there is no other explanation I can think about that can cause itchiness in a joint.

Brief Answer:
It will heal if you do not overuse the joint.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I mean that probably it will not even start. It is such in the beginning stage that if you do not do any overuse of thw joint, it will probably heal. But if you do something with that joint like crack a lot, move it a lot due to a specific work that you so, then maybe sooner then 10 years it will activate an inflammation in the joint.
For now do not worry.
If it is itchy, do some ice on it (not directly on skin contact) and then some heat- 5 minutes each combining heat and ice for 20 min. This should help.
You can also apply a local analgesic cream.

Hope this helps and is clear.
