Question: I already have an underactive thyroid and take levothyroxine for it. Lately my throat feels like there is a lump in it. It feels like food is stuck in it sometimes. Also, it feels a little sore when i swallow and once in a while I have ear pain in one ear. Should I see my doctor?

Brief Answer:
You should see a doctor, do thyroid ultrasound.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

First of all I would suggest you to check your thyroid doing an ultrasound of it in order to check it's dimensions and if there is change in it which can affect the swallowing.
If the ultrasound is normal then you have to visit an ENT doctor in order to check your throat and possibly do a esophagogastroscopy to check what is affecting the food passages and the pain in one ear.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
