I ate some yogurt that sat in my car for approximately 90 minutes while I was in the store. the temperature in my car was 88 degrees. the yogurt was made from pasteurized milk. but now I am worried that leaving it out for so long in the heat has put me at risk for listeria. is this something that could happen or I should be concerned about?
Brief Answer:
Listeria unlikely
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Listeria is unlikely to grow so quickly in the pasteurized milk.
Moreover, if the taste was fine and there was no altered smell in the yogurt, then there is nothing to worry.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.
