I Am 26 Years Old Male And Since 5 Days

default
Posted on Fri, 17 Apr 2020
Question: I am 26 years old male and since 5 days (on 23rd of March) I noticed weird problem when I ejaculate. The color of my semen is light brown (tan)... first I thought it could be blood, but it doesn't look red, but brown.
I tried not ejaculation for 2 days and then I ejaculated a few times daily to see if there are changes. There is little change in the color, but it's still brown. I am on feeling any pain just a bit discomfort on my lower abdominal and testicles.

My clinical background: On 11th of March I had wisdom teeth removal surgery and I got a prescription for Clindamycin-MIP 600 mg (1 pill per 12 hours for 3 days)... and as a side effect of antibiotic I got diarrhea. Currently, I am getting probiotic Linex forte which includes Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-5®, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BB-12® + prebiotic Inulin.
On the 29th of November I had same surgery and I had to take the same antibiotic and I had the same side effect (diarrhea) I consulted my GP for this because I had diarrhea + pain in my lower abdominal and testicles. He prescribed me Linex forte and it stopped after 2 packs.
So my question is is it possible this color of my semen to be another side effect of the antibiotic or the probiotic? If not what could be the reason for this? Thank you in advance!

Brief Answer:
Mostly you have infection of either Seminal Vesicle or Prostate

Detailed Answer:
hello
Thanks for query .

Based on the facts that you have posted brown colored semen that you have been passing since very recently is most likely to be due to infection of either Seminal Vesicle (Seminal Vesiculitis) or of Prostate (Prostatitis).

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Semen Examination and Culture

.Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

In the mean time start taking antibiotic like Doxicycline and and inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily .

Get prescription from your family physician.

Ensure to drink more water .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
