Question: I am 42 years male. since last ten days I am experiencing vertigo problem. consulted a local doctor ant tested the blood sugar level. on the day when I experienced lightheadedness, my FBS was 53. on doctors advise I took some glucose rich food and my FBS improved to 75 on 17th Aug. on 21st Aug the FBS again dropped to 67. in the meanwhile throughout the period I am experiencing head reeling and weaknesses. During the first hour after a meal, my body shivers and I get weaknesses. Please advise.

Thanks for the query.
Low blood sugar can cause dizziness and loss of consciousness in extreme cases.
If your blood sugar is persistently low, we have to rule out other conditions where there is excessive production of insulin must be ruled out.
However other conditions like low blood pressure and inner ear related issues also be ruled out.
Do you have any other symptoms like spinning of head, nausea or vomiting?
Is there is any loss of weight/gain of weight or excessive hunger? Is there any improvements is symptoms after intake of glucose?
