I Am 59 Years Old And Have Had A History

Likely to be due to Non Bacterial Chronic Prostatitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .
Based on the facts that you have posted the symptoms that you have are most likely to be due to what is called as Non Bacterial Chronic Prostatitis ,This problem is characterized by the complex symptoms similar to bacterial prostatitis without no positive findings in relevant laboratory tests which has tendency to relapse(recur) again over a period of time .However it is always better to get microscopic examination and culture of the Urethral Discharge obtained after Digital Rectal Examination to rule out bacterial infection .
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis and to rule out any other pathology .
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Microscopic examination and Culture of Urethral Discharge .
Taking antibiotic like Amoxicillin without proved positive evidence of bacterial infection is of no significance and is not justifiable ..
Doing prostatic massage and discharging prostatic secretions every day does help to reduce congestion of prostate and to get relief from symptoms .You will need any of your close relative to learn and train the technique of doing Prostatic massage from health personnel or your family physician .It is very simple and effective method which I have been practicing for my patients of Chronic Prostatitis since last 45 years of my practice which gives satisfactory results and relief from symptoms .
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
