Question: I am 69, very active, healthy...in good shape. taking testosterone injections and 100 mg sildenafil before intercourse, also daily 5mg tadalafil ....still frequently not able to maintain an erection. Here are two questions: frequently wake up with a hard erection but am an early riser before my wife wants to awaken. Why do men wake up with a hard erection? Second question: my wife has a low libido. What can she do or take to be more in sync with me?

Brief Answer:
There are no medicines for Females to increase libido

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

As regards your query about why man gets morning erection there are few theories that help explain why men wake up with an erect penis from time to time, but none of these theories are supported by concrete, medical evidence. These theories include:
1) Physical stimulation
Though your eyes are shut, your body is still very much aware of what’s happening around you. If you or your partner accidentally touch or graze your genitals, you may become erect. Your body senses the stimulation and responds with an erection.
2)Hormone shifts
Your testosterone level is at its highest in the morning after you wake up. It is highest immediately after waking up from rapid eye movement (REM) sleep stage. The increase in this hormone alone may be enough to cause an erection, even in the absence of any physical stimulation. Since you are taking Testosterone injection it may be one of the factors for getting morning Erection .
3)Brain relaxation
During your waking hours, your body releases hormones to suppress erections. When you’re asleep, your body releases less of those hormones.

There are no medicines for females to increase libido .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Thanks, as for females, I have bee reading articles, and one I read this morning with interest is that libido and female sex issues can be affected by antidepressants .....My wife takes zoloft .....An article by XXXXXXX Doheny about Viagra for Women has some interesting comments which sound like some possible answers to her libido and seeming lack of orgasm....

Brief Answer:
There are few drugs that work in perimenopausal age group

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up
There are few drugs like Vylessi and Addyi which help to increase desire for sex in females but these drugs are effective in females in peri menopausal age group however these drugs are not approved by WHO .

Taking anti depressant drugs do have side effect of loss of libido in males and females as well.

Thanks and Regards
